New York City, January 18, 2010. Gabrielle David, Founder and Executive Director of The Intercultural Alliance of Artists & Scholars, Inc. (The IAAS) announced today that phati'tude Literary Magazine (PLM) is back with a vengeance! The organization is moving forward aggressively with the relaunch of its signature program and a website that features excerpts from the magazine as well as rants, artwork, flash movies and photography under the phati'tude literary initiatives banner. The magazine is scheduled for publication in April to coincide with National Poetry Month. The call for submissions, which begins today, invites artists nationwide to submit poetry, short stories, essays, artwork, photos and videos.

phati'tude Literary Magazine is a multicultural publication with a special focus in, though not exclusively devoted to, writers of African, Hispanic/Latino, Native American and Asian descent, seeking to provide a forum for quality works with a diverse voice.

"We're the same publication that premiered back in 1997, but better and smarter than ever," says Ms. David. "Publishing on a quarterly basis, we will continue to print works by emerging and established writers of diverse origins whose works exhibit social, political and cultural awareness, but now we're using the latest technology - print-on-demand for the paper publications and e-books for greater exposure."

The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2009 for the spring, 2010 launch issue. Writers and artists should visit the submissions page on the phati'tude website for more information and guidelines at http://phatitude.org/online/programs/phatitude-magazine/submission-guidelines/.
