The Intercultural Alliance of Artists & Scholars, Inc. (IAAS) is a NY-based, nonprofit organization that relies on the generous contributions of supporters to deliver its programs and services effectively. In the past, the IAAS relied on a small community of givers to help us with our costs and expenses. Today, with the near demise of corporate and government financial support of the arts, we believe the key to our success is to acquire funding in small amounts from many people. Many skeptics think this is a precarious time to launch a fundraising initiative; we disagree. This is an opportunity to call our community members into action. We count on the support of all who benefit from the activities and programs we develop and promote. We count on you.

Our current financial goal is to raise $500,000 to support the IAAS's operating expenses and to bridge the gap between city, state and foundation revenue to the actual budget of our strategic initiatives. This includes:

  • Seed money for IAAS programs
  • TV Production Costs
  • Events & Live Activities
  • Salaries/Benefits
  • Expenses

In return for your support, the IAAS will keep you apprised of its programs and activities with an Annual Report, quarterly newsletter and regularly updated website. We invite donors to attend and/or volunteer in our program initiatives, so you can see first hand how your generosity translates into good work. We want the IAAS to become your charity of choice as an organization you would be proud to be associated with.

TWITTER FOR LITERATURE LOGO We need your generous support to sustain the important

And now we're pleased to announce TWITTER FOR LITERATURE, an exciting use of the social capital that Twitter users have created by building and cultivating networks. TWITTER FOR LITERATURE was developed to call our community members into action and to expand our community of poets, writers, scholars, artists, teachers, professors, students and supporters of literature and literacy, as well as provide an interactive way to raise money. We invite to join and follow our fun, informational and inspirational tweets and fundraising efforts. You can participate by passing the word along to your friends.

When you give to the IAAS, you play a central role in helping to sustain the IAAS's infrastructure, which in turn enables us to effectively provide and maintain exceptional literary program initiatives, especially now during these economic times; so any amount you can give will make a difference.

The IAAS and its Board Members are grateful for the generosity of friends, staff, corporations, and foundations and individuals like you.
